Dear First Impressions Team,

First, I just want to say Thank You for your heart to serve and help make ACF a warm, welcoming and hospitable place for all who want to hear the message of Christ. If you noticed I put First Impressions Team instead of Guest Services team and we are making this switch because this is the team that gives the first impression of who ACF is as a church and this is the first opportunity we have to show that we are Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus, Loving and Discipling People. So again, Thank you for being that first smile, first handshake, first touchpoint that someone experiences as they come onto the church campus!

Second, if you haven’t gotten a chance to meet and talk with Leslee Shepherd yet, I know she would love to meet you, and I wanted to let you know that she is officially taking over as the First Impressions Director! She is a wonderful addition to the team and we are so excited for her to take on this role. Sharon and I are always available in support of Leslee, but please know going forward all communication about scheduling and training, etc will be going through Leslee. Anytime you need to reach out to her you can email her at leslee.shepherd@visitacf.com or you can also call or text her at 214-538-3824.

Please do me one favor, even if you have previously shared this with Sharon or I in the past. Since life is ever-changing we just want to make sure we have everyone’s updated preferences. Please text or email Leslee with your preferred serving schedule of either serving 1) Every Week or 2) Every Other Week.

After you share this information with her, just a reminder that it is also super helpful to go into the Services App and add in any Block out dates that you might have coming up in the next few months. Also, please make sure your phone and email are correct in the services app, in case anything has changed there.

If you have any questions about scheduling, the Services app or would just like to meet Leslee face to face, she will be available in the Cafe area during the entire 9:00am service on 1/26 or during the entire 10:30am service on 2/2.

A couple other quick procedural updates for you.

  1. Please take a moment to read through the attached updated First Impressions Team Handbook.

  2. Every month there will be a text reminder sent out with that month’s schedule, please be sure to let Leslee know of any changes to your schedule as soon as you can.

  3. Due to sickness or other last minute situations that come up, Leslee will have a Roster sheet each week at the Connections Desk showing where everyone is to be stationed that morning. So please be sure to check the roster sheet prior to going to where the Services app shows that you are scheduled just in case she needs to move you somewhere else to make sure all areas are thoroughly covered.
