I grew up in Corpus Christi and moved to Tyler after a socially fun but academically terrible year at Texas A&M (I never knew what scholastic probation meant until that year…).  While in Tyler, I really buckled down and spent the next 6 years going to 4 different institutions of higher learning.  During one of my stints at one of the colleges, God blessed me with my beautiful wife, Dondra.  I have increased her prayer life tremendously!  After a few years wandering in the proverbial desert, God lead me to work at Holt Caterpillar in Longview in 2002. In 2003, He was faithful to our prayers and blessed us with our son William.  In 2004, God saw fit to use my job at Holt to get our little family to Fort Worth and we immediately started looking for a church.  After a few false starts we tried a church in the Keller area and wound up in a Sunday School class taught by the pastor.  Soon that pastor and his family were lead by God to start a church in the Alliance area and my family felt God calling us to be a charter partner and help Pastor Nathan in any way we could.  Although I was saved at the age of 7 and have been a Christian for 35 years, it’s been in the past 10 years while at ACF that God has grown me (sometimes painfully) into the person I am today. Flawed and broken, but forgiven!
