My wife Jessica and I arrived in beautiful Fort Worth in May of 2017. Together we have 5 kids (Nathaniel, Tyler, Matthew, Emmalyn and Julia). I have spent my adult life serving in the United States Air Force. This is how the Lord led me to meet Nathan Tucker. We were deployed together October 2016 – April 2017. The Lord did an incredible work that ignited my passion for ministry and paved the way for me to bring my family to Texas to join ACF.
If you were an animal, what type of animal would you be and why?
I’ve always been partial to tigers, but thanks to my son Matthew, I think I’ll go polar bear. Most kids want horsey rides on their dad’s back, but for some reason I’m a polar bear in his mind.
What do you love best about ACF?
The people here and their heart for God. Nathan tried to explain the culture of ACF to me in the desert, but his descriptions did not do any justice. We arrived in Texas just in time to witness the 2017 VBS. I have never seen that level of volunteerism before in a church. If that’s a taste of ACF, I want more!
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
It was between Darkwing Duck and GI Joe. I’m also a huge Looney Tunes fan, like most of my seniors on staff.
What are you listening to right now on iPod/mp3/radio/Walkman?
I’m a punk kid through and through. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to appreciate praise and worship and I have a special place in my heart for hymns (it’s my upbringing). But give me something fast and loud any day of the week.
