Thank you for considering to partner with us as we seek God through a time of reading of His word, prayer and fasting.
2 Chronicles 7:14 reads, “and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Throughout the week of July 5-12 we are asking 140 people to join us as we collectively obey this passage. Over those 8 day’s we are asking partners to do the following:
- Sign-up for one of the 140 readings using the link below
- After reading, pray using the guided prayers provided below
- Spend time fasting, if medically safe.
Our hope for this time is the promise God provides at the end of 2 Chronicles 7:14, “I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Heavenly Father, our human minds can hardly fathom that You—Almighty, Eternal God—have invited us to approach Your throne of grace with confidence…as born-again believers and adopted members of Your family. We are grateful for the gift of prayer You offer to us 24/7, 365 days a year!
We, like so many others before us in Your “Hall of Faith”, acknowledge that there is no God like You, no not one! When we consider that You have given us—as Your children—eternal life and the mind of Christ, our desire this moment is for our heart-of-prayer to match Yours; for the end result of our prayer-time together will be for Your kingdom to come and Your will to be done, on earth as it is in heaven. (Hebrews 4:16/Galatians 4:5; Romans 8:15/Hebrews 11/2 Samuel 7:22/John 17:3/ 1 Corinthians 2:16/Matthew 6:10…NAS)
Jesus, You taught us that we should not be worried about anything, but pray about everything with thanksgiving in our heart. May we Your disciples today be diligent to worry less and pray more; that we may truly see more of Your Kingdom come and will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Thank You for the ever-increasing peace You give us as we pray!
Father, thank You, that we Christians can always pray with great confidence of You hearing and answering our prayers, if we simply pray “in agreement” with Your will, which is revealed in Your Word. Help us to experience that confidence by becoming more familiar with Your Word in the Bible through the sermons we hear and small groups we study with each week.
Lord, we pray You will raise up more prayer warriors in our church—even all churches in the nation…who will be increasingly faithful to pray for their church—and their pastor and leaders—as well as city, state, and national government leaders.
Holy Spirit, may You permeate and saturate individual Believers and families throughout the nation with the sacrificial love that Jesus Christ demonstrated through His life and ministry to others…especially upon the cross of Calvary!
Father, You have given each of us unique callings and assignments, and the gifts and talents needed to fulfill them. May You find us diligent and faithful in fulfilling those callings and good works You have planned for us for Your Glory! Forgive us when we drift away from You calling or Your good works! (Philippians 4:6-7/1 John 5:14-15/1 Timothy 2:1-2/John 15:13/Jeremiah 29:11/2 Peter 1:3/Ephesians 2:10…NAS)
Holy Spirit, because Your presence or absence in any situation clearly makes a difference, would You make Yourself abundantly known to every member of Your churches across America? May we have the spiritual ears to hear, eyes to see, and hearts to receive ALL that You have for us as Your “born-again” family members!
Lord, it is Your mercy and grace that we as the Bride of Christ are in need of so desperately! Would You continue to draw and unite pastors, ministry staffs, church leadership and each believer in fervent prayer together, as we honestly seek to be the spiritual “House of Prayer” that Jesus declared we are to be!
Father, we lift up our police and all military forces across the nation and world—active and reserves—that they may experience Your supernatural wisdom and physical, mental, emotional protection as they serve and fulfill their assignments. We seek these same areas for each member of their families as they serve so faithfully while in the homes and their areas of responsibility.
Because You have given every “born-again” member of Your family a “ministry of reconciliation,” we ask You to place Your “hedge of protection” around them (if married, their spouses and children)…so they may be the loving Christian witness to their extended family, neighbors, work associates and others You lead their paths to cross every day!
Abba, our hearts are broken for those who have been captured by the evilness of sexual sins and related “trafficking”. We ask for You to supernaturally set them free from the mental and physical bondage that hinders their fully knowing You and the “fullness of joy” that You desire for their lives! (Mark 11:17/Job 1:10/ 2Corinthians 5:21/2 Samuel 22:1…NAS)
O, Lord, as we awaken each morning—and go about our ways—we progressively see or hear of the path our nation appears to be heading. Yet, we often feel helpless to make any real difference because of our struggles—like the Apostle Paul—with our personal prejudices and selfish attitudes toward others. Forgive us as Your children and our nation, when we choose to allow worldly pleasures and pursuits to dominate our thoughts and actions toward others. Jesus, that was not Your chosen path because of Your love for others…and we desire to follow in Your steps.
We repent of our failures to make time to pray with You. Forgive us, Lord, when we make our prayers all about ourselves. We repent of not following Your command to pray for others… beginning with those in authority at all levels of leadership: home, church, education, business, government, entertainment, media, all aspects of our lives. We repent as we have become so caught-up in “making things happen” for all the wrong reasons: pride, prominence, prestige, power, instead of Your Glory.
Lord, Your Word speaks clearly that we are easily deceived and our nation is desperate for Your deliverance from these deceptive actions of our personal life choices that You forbid, hate. We cry out for Your forgiveness and deliverance in America from “each doing what is right in his own eyes” regarding abortion, sexual life-styles and many other choices. May our nation repent of not seeking You and Your Kingdom and righteousness first and foremost; but, so often, we are guilty of doing just the opposite…by removing You and Your influence in our normal daily lives. This has resulted in:
- division and disunity
- hatred and murder,
- oppression and racism,
- confusion and chaos.
With contrite hearts, we repent of all these sins and turn to You. Because You tell us to cry out to You, and we will be forgiven; now hear our cry. Thank You, that when we repent and return, our sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from Your presence, O Lord. (Matthew 5-7/Romans 7:14-25/James 2:1-4/1 John 4:19/ 1 Peter 2:21/James 4:2-3/1 Timothy 2:1-2/Colossians 3:17/2 Samuel 7:22/Psalms 115:1/Proverbs 16:25/Judges 21:25/Matthew 6:33/ Acts 3:19…NAS)
