Administrative Assistant for Alliance Aviators
I have been married to the love of my life, Jimmy, since 2004. We have known each other most of our lives. His mom was actually my 2nd grade teacher! It wasn’t until I graduated from college with a business degree and he returned from his contract with the Navy that we started dating. After his college and job layoffs, God brought us to the Fort Worth area. In 2013, God blessed us with our little boy Thomas and in 2015, our sweet Joseph was born. A few years ago we visited several churches in the area, including Alliance Community Fellowship. We were greeted by the pastor and many friendly faces, and we knew this is where God wanted us. We started serving in the nursery as a family and loved it! My background is mostly in customer service and health care office management, but after being a part of ACF’s children’s ministry, I said yes to God and accepted this position because I am excited to see what God is doing in the lives of children and their families through ACF, and I want to be a part of the blessing. I love seeing our ACF Kids learn about Jesus and the amazing way that our volunteers love serving our families. I am thankful that God brought us to this authentic community of faith.
If you were an animal what type of animal would you be and why?
A dog, because my boys love our dogs and chase them. And it’s adorable when the boys say “ruff ruff” and give them love. Dogs really are man’s (and toddlers!) best friend. And really, don’t dogs have the life?!
What do you like best about ACF?
Everyone really is real, and they come here as broken people needing Jesus. It’s a family that serves and grows together.
What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Bugs Bunny and Smurfs.
What are you listening to right now on your iPod/mp3/radio/Walkman?
Mostly Christian Contemporary and Air1 Radio. But I’m a country girl at heart so I have to listen to George Strait, Lady Antabellum, and Carrie Underwood every now and then.
