Alliance Aviators
At ACF we believe children are a gift from God and we are dedicated to teaching them to fly high for Jesus. Children’s programming at ACF is available for children birth through sixth grade. We offer Children’s Church for babies through 4th grade at 9:30 and 11. Additionally, we host the TWEEN SCENE at 9:30 for our 5th and 6th grade crowd! Aviators also fly high on weeknights during ministry activities, Wednesdays offering Awanas, at special events throughout the year, and summer activities such as VBS and camps. In Alliance Aviators, we are flying high for Jesus!!!
All Preschoolers and First Time Fliers check-in at the Airport (Brick Building) first and then move into their appropriate classrooms. Our Frequent Fliers can check in at the Airport (Birth through PK5) or the Activity Center (K-6).
Once checked in, our children report to their airport post. Babies are the propellers; Toddlers are the tails; 2’s are the wings; and 3’s are the cockpit. All are located in the Airport (Brick Building). Our helicopters (PK4-PK5) class is located in the Hangar (building behind the brick building). For our school aged fliers, we start in large group in the activity center. Their small groups meet in the Hangar. Our Aces (Kinder), Pilots (1st and 2nd) and our Captains (3rd and 4th) will all return to the Activity Center for dismissal. Finally, our TWEEN SCENE is located in the last classroom building (behind the Hangar and next to the church office). They have large and small group time.
Aviator Volunteers – Navigators and Air Traffic Control
We have an awesome team of dedicated volunteers, adults and youth, that work together at ACF to help create a fun, safe and inviting atmosphere for our children.
Their goal is to worship with and teach your children while building relationships with each student. These volunteers will help break down the large group lesson in their small group time and really focus on what Jesus is saying to them and how to apply these Bible principles to their own lives.
All volunteers are partners of ACF and have undergone appropriate background checks.
The Flight Plan
Alliance Aviators begin with arrival activities. Younger fliers have some play time or do a simple craft. Older fliers solve word puzzles, have craft time, and enjoy high energy music. Worship music is contemporary praise music with movements that are engaging, fun, and allow the children to expressively worship Christ. Scripture memory is an emphasis each week during arrival and small group times. Lessons are pulled straight from the Bible and offer age appropriate life lessons. Children may perform a skit, see a puppet show, or experience an object lesson. Fifth Sundays are a celebration time which reviews lessons taught and celebrates blessings.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where is the preschool building?
The preschool building is the brick building located to the left of the worship center. It is known around campus as the Airport.
Will my child have the same teacher each week?
We do strive to have your child with the same teacher every week. This is important to us at ACF so that your children are able to build relationships and see a consistent, smiling face every weekend. Occasionally due to volunteer schedules, we may have team teachers who serve on an every other week rotation. Both teachers will build a relationship with your child.
How will you contact me if my child needs me?
If your child becomes inconsolable or unwell, we will either post your child's first name and tag code on the monitors in the worship center or send you a text message if you have provided us with your number. Please then return to your child's classroom to pick them up.
How do ACF Aviators keep parents involved in their child's experience at church?
Each week when you pick up your child, your child's teacher will hand you a parent take home page. This page has a summary of what your child learned during the worship service, as well as some ideas for how to incorporate that week's lesson into your child's life. We believe the best way for parents to be involved in what their child is learning is to become a part of the team that teaches that child. Each week, volunteers do everything from greeting families to teaching and leading kids during praise and worship.
How can I volunteer in ACF Aviators?
There are many positions available where you can serve. These include greeting families, large group leaders, drama team, worship team, small group leaders, as well as administrative duties to prepare for Sundays. For more information on how you can be involved, contact Mitzie Buss (Children's Director) via email at: mitzie.buss@visitacf.com or call 817-994-6889, or stop by the check-in desk in the preschool building.
